You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds. You are the hope of everyone on earth, even those who sail on distant seas.

But then I recall all you have done, O Lord.
I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago. They are constantly in my thoughts.

We’ve flown free from their fangs, free of their traps, free as a bird. Their grip is broken; we’re free as a bird in flight.

He lifted me out of the ditch, pulled me from deep mud. He stood me up on a solid rock to make sure I wouldn’t slip.

God, the one and only, I’ll wait as long as he says. Everything I hope for comes from him, so why not? God is a safe place to be.

Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them.

Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed, he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever.

Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.

I will pour out my Spirit on every kind of people. Your sons will prophesy, also your daughters. Your old men will dream, your young men will see visions.

You won’t have to lift a hand in this battle; just stand firm and watch God’s saving work for you take shape. Don’t be afraid, don’t waver. God is with you.

The heavens announce that he’ll set everything right! You, God, are High God of the cosmos, far, far higher than any of the gods.

and give a long, loving look at your acts.

He will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair.

After the wind an earthquake, but God wasn’t in the earthquake. After the earthquake fire, but God wasn’t in the fire. After the fire a gentle and quiet whisper.

Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.

When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars you set in place, what are mere mortals that you should think about them?

Take up your positions, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf. Go out and face them tomorrow, for the Lord is with you.”

Send out your light and your truth; let them guide me. Let them lead me to your holy mountain, to the place where you live.

Perhaps the Lord will help us, for nothing can hinder the Lord. He can win a battle whether he has many warriors or only a few…

The Lord reigns as king forever. The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace.

May God, our very own God, continue to be with us just as he was with our ancestors—may he never give up and walk out on us.

Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow.

The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forever.

Honor and majesty surround him; strength and beauty fill his sanctuary. Bring your thankfulness to him.

My help and glory are in God; granite-strength and Safe Harbor God. So trust him absolutely.

He breaks the bow and snaps the spear; he burns the shields with fire. Be still, and know that I am God!

Darkness covers all the nations of the earth, but the glory of the Lord rises and appears over you.

Raise the roof! Sing your hearts out to God! Because the Greatest lives among you…

Acknowledge that the Lord is God. He made us. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Our days on earth are like grass; like wildflowers, we bloom and die. The wind blows, and we are gone.

I remember the days of old. I spread out my hands to You. My soul longs for You, like a weary land.

But then I recall all you have done, O Lord; I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago.

The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?

This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.

But its leaves will be green, it will not be anxious in a year of drought nor cease to yield fruit.

He’ll never let you down; he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; he’ll always be there to help you.

The voice of the Lord echoes above the sea. The voice of the Lord splits the mighty cedars.

And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.

The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.

He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams.

But all is not lost; there is still hope. Take charge – we’re behind you. Don’t back down.

Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles,

That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.

But forget all that — it is nothing compared to what I am going to do.
For I am about to do something new.

Everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts on them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
